I love movies. I was always drawn to them and the process of storytelling. Visual storytelling was always the best way for me to understand anything and any topic.

When it came to my own coming out process, I turned to every book, movie, and documentary I could get my hands on. These films and documentaries helped me learn more about our community and get a better sense of history.

Every Pride Month, I try to rewatch some of them, and it never fails to spark something new, and I learn something different.

When it comes to books, that list is even longer, but if you’re starting with movies or are more of a visual person, I highly recommend these.
